Mobile Autism Clinic

29 foot recreational vehicle with a wrap that says Virginia Tech Mobile Autism Clinic

This outreach initiative is housed in a 2004 renovated 29-foot RV and has served communities within the Mount Rogers Community Services catchment area.  VTAC’s trained doctoral level student clinicians, overseen by Dr. Scarpa, have offered assessments and therapy services, alternating locations each week.  Few, if any, other mobile autism clinics exist in the country.  Since its inception, the MAC has travelled over 7,600 miles with the goal of supporting family well-being by empowering parents and caregivers with additional skills on how to better support their children with autism.
